Abel Ibáñez G. is a Mexican/Australian musician, singer and songwriter established in Sydney since 2016. At the beginning of 2020, he released his first EP “De Vuelta en Casa” and in 2022 his first LP “Extraña Compañía” was published. Both albums were well received by the likes of national and international press. 

Inspired by many different types of music, this five piece have blended their own brand of acid-jazz, funk, disco and soul. Combining elements of mystical ambience and soothing vocal melodies with fierce grooves and crunchy riffs, AstroVillain has curated a signature planetary sound that has grooved its way into the heart of Melbourne's underground future-jazz scene.
