"Love, lust, revenge and murder never sounded so sweet and low down.

The Loud Hailers are -

Christa Hughes - vocals (Machine Gun Fellatio, Honky Tonk Shonks, Dick & Christa Hughes, Circus Oz),

Ben Fink - guitar and vocals (Lior, Whitlams, King Clam)

Ivan Jordan - drums (Jackie Orszaczky, Paul Mac, Abby Dobson, King Tide)

The Loud Hailers first got together wanting to share a deep passion for early blues music and the extraordinary artists that produced it,

great blues artists of the 1920's and 30's like Skip James, Blind Willie Johnson, Lead Belly and the Empress of the Blues, Bessie Smith.

After jamming on a moonlit veranda a couple of times they started to write their own songs and now can’t keep quiet in their loud hailing glow.

A monthly residency at the Hollywood Hotel saw the band really come into their own,

it became their regular stomping ground, where new sounds and songs sprang forth, seemingly from the ether.

Passionate and powerful songs about love, lust, betrayal, revenge and women driven to murder are their hallmark,

Come join the Loud Hailers, it’s going to be a down home dirty sweet and low blues party
